Fresher's of IUB putting up their best on stage
On September 20, Independent University of Bangladesh dedicated a day to the new students at the Osmani Memorial hall. DOSA, Division of Student's affairs organised a cultural show and welcomed the freshers aboard.

At around 4:30 p.m., students, parents and faculty members began to arrive at the hall, waiting eagerly to watch their friends and loved ones perform. The curtains opened at around 5:00 p.m. and since then, had a total of 22 items full of culture, music, comedy, feelings, thoughts, drama, poetic conversations for the audience till 8:00 p.m.

The show started off with a wonderfully coordinated chorus of Dhono Dhanno Pushpe Bhora by all the performers and organisers after the anchor gave a brief history of IUB and the activities involved with the institution. Performances worth mentioning are a Aaj Ey Brishtir Kanna sung by Khaled; a folk dance by Rumana performed on Brishti pore tapur tupur; a Kathak presentation by Preeti; Jon Denver's Leaving on a Jet Plane, a comic conversation representing today's boy-girl relationship by Tropa and Asif, Cholo na ghure ashi performed by Evan who hyped up the crowd with his little dance, a short play Kanjus directed by Nefaur Rahman Ronnie, and finally Mon shudhu by Rashed.
