Ivy Zaman's works displayed in South Korea
The year 2003 marks an important turning point in her career. As a sculptor, Ivy has broken into the international arena for the first time. Her work was accepted in the "2nd International Symposium for Sculpture, known 2003." Among 60 sculptors from 50 countries, Ivy Zaman is the Bangladeshi woman artist who has been chosen for the Second Symposium to be held in Youngwoul, South Korea.
She is the second Bangladeshi artist to be invited to contribute her worth to the 'sculpture garden' in the province of Sancheony and Jounowoul. Hamiduzzaman was the first sculptor who was invited to contribute to the sculpture garden of Sancheong.
As a woman artist of Bangladesh, Ivy Zaman's contribution to the sculpture garden is heart warming. She is the first woman to cross the border to install her work on the international turf.
