The film based on Amjad Hossain's novel, Obelay Osomoy, is a story of humanity and survival, and revolves around the Liberation War. The film also depicts the communal harmony prevalent in our country for thousands of years. The film is scripted and directed by popular actor Tauquir Ahmed.

The world premiere of the movie was held last Eid on ntv and was released in Star Cineplex and other movie halls in the country.

In recent years there has been a great demand for good films. With a view to spread the authentic history amongst the young generation Impress Telefilms has taken up initiatives to present movies revolving on our Liberation War. The films include Shyamol Chhaya, directed by Humayun Ahmed, Laal Shobuj, directed by Shahidul Islam and Chashi Nazrul Islam's Megher Porey Megh.
