Kamaluddin Nilu: Upbeat about the future of CAT

This year, CAT has only taken part in one festival in Bangladesh. Nilu said, 'In January we took part in Nagarik Natyangan's drama festival. But, we did not take part in the Dhaka Drama Festival-2004, as CAT is not the member of Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation. But, our productions are in demand abroad. Every year, we participate in several drama festivals all over the world. Next year, we will take part in the National School for Drama festival in Delhi and another festival in Germany in March.'

Commenting on the newly built National Theatre Stage, Nilu said, 'It is undoubtedly an international standard theatre hall. However, we faced several technical problems during the premiere show of Brand here. I think PWD should immediately hand over the theatre hall to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy for the better use of National Theatre Stage.'
