Karisma to wed this Monday

After a long lay-off, the marriage with Sunjay seems to have left behind the disappointment of the break-up of her engagement with Abhishek Bacchan, son of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
Karisma insisted it is not a love marriage but an arranged one with Sunjay Kapur whom she has known since her childhood. In fact, the two Kapoor families have known each other and are close since long.
Karisma and Sunjay studied together in a school for sometime before the latter travelled to Dehradun for studying in the Doon School, one of the costliest and best educational institutions of India. Sunjay later obtained management degree from Buckingham University in England.
Karisma's engagement to Abhishek was announced on October 11 last year by none other than Amitabh at a mega function to mark the senior actor's 60th birthday at his palatial residence in Bombay. But that fell apart within three months and the break-up too was made public gracefully, in keeping with the dignity of the Bachchans and Kapoors. There was neither acrimony nor any mutual recrimination, often seen in such cases.
Sunjay recently obtained a divorce with his first wife Nanita Mahtani, owner of a fashion store in Bombay and Delhi, and the parting of ways was not marred by any bickering in public.
In what is going to be good news for Karsima fans, the actress indicated at the press conference that marriage is not going to force her out of acting after being in the tinsel town for 13 years. 'I am a professional and that [marriage] has nothing to do with my professional commitments', said she.
