Kochi Smriti Street Play Festival held
In the Kochi Smriti Street Play Festival, held in the premises of the Central Shaheed Minar, 12 popular theatre organisations presented plays, focusing on the existing political and socio-cultural issues in the country. Some street plays went down particularly well with the audience: Shampritir Shandhaney and Chor by Padatic Nattya Sangsad, We Are looking For Shotrus by Nattya Dhara, No Man's Land by Prachcho Naut, Otopar Haren Madol by Shattik Natya Shamprodaya, Lali by Aboyab Natya Dal, Four Forty Volt by Drishtipaat Natya Sangsad, Kalattor by Nattyo Bhumi, Ghum by Green Theatre, and Maanhush by Manikdi Theatre.
The theatre groups Dhaka Nattom, Theatre Baily Road, Arannayak Nattyo Dal, Udichi (Drama Department), Theatre Art Unit, Loko Nattya Dal (Shiddeshwary), Natya Kunjo also staged their old and new productions.
