According to Abu Taher, "Aesthetic appreciation and the practice of different art forms reduce violence in the society. A true admirer of art can never lean towards crime. I feel every artist has responsibilities towards the community, he/she is a part of."

Shafi Ahmed said, "What's special about Abu Taher is that he has always occupied himself with art. In Taher's Tribute to his Guru -- a homage to Qamrul Hasan, the four human figures and water seem so vibrant that it moves the viewer."

Mizarul Qayes, in turn, dubbed Taher's works as "feasts of colours".
