Imagine being able to catch precious moments in time--family, friends, nature and travels. The means? A little 'portrait magic'. For photography enthusiasts, the photographic wing of the Centre for Asian Arts and Cultures (CAAC) is set to organise its second four-day long workshop on portrait photography from February 23 to 26. The workshop will be conducted by acclaimed photographer, Nasir Ali Mamun, who has framed famous personalities of Dhaka and overseas with his camera and created a niche in portrait photography.

On the second, third and fourth days, different guest speakers will give lectures on the various technical aspects of portrait photography.

The course also includes the projector and slide shows of the photographic works of the world's famous photographers. Discussions will also be held on their various photographic techniques. Apart from this, the aspiring photographers will get practical experience through daylong portrait photography sessions. After the workshop, the organiser will arrange a photography exhibition of the works of the participants.

This workshop is open to those with a basic knowledge of photography. Those interested can get registration forms from the office of CAAC at 62, Science Laboratory Road and Srabon at Aziz Co-operative Supermarket. The last day of the registration is February 20.
