Live Now II at STM Hall
The first band to take the stage was Xorastrian, followed by other young and talented bands such as Eclipse, Saint Sinner, Synopsis, Baahsznought, Decipher, Soothsayer, Obhishap and Shade, one after another.
The concert was a first for the band Blue Steel. The vocalists of the band left an impression on the crowd. They performed Zombie of Cranberries, which is an all-time favourite.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Bands like Delude, Birdodh Arbovirus, Nemesis, The Watson Brothers, dNA and Artcell seemed to strike a chord with the audience. Birodh rendered a new song dedicated to late Shabab, titled Sritir Arale. The lyrics by Shahid Mahmud Jangi is moving, while the music composition is perhaps one of Birodh's best. Birodh along with Nemesis, Arbovirus and DFA featured songs of Iron Maiden and Nirvana along with their own songs.
Noteworthy performances of the night were Nishyo Prohor by Nemesis and Protifolon by DNA. The Watson Brothers sang Akash and Rong with great zest. Artcell, the last band to perform was perhaps the most popular one. The crowd sang along with the band during the renditions of Pothchola, Bhul jonmo and Odekha shorgo. Artcell dedicated Pothchola to Shabab since it was his favourite song.
"Live Now captures the essence of Shabab's existence... for Shabab always lived for the moment. Hence we've chosen Live Now as our concert title," said Shabab's sister Nadine Murshid.
