Lives Not Numbers

Those who were brutally and unfairly taken away from us on the fateful night of July 1, 2016 will never again fill the air of the Holey Artisan Bakery with their infectious smiles, and their cosmopolitan tales. The carnage leaves us terrified, fearful of our near ones; our minds now permanently divided, a smile on our lips while our eyes keep scanning the distances.

It is a lesson in history that monsters, with all their weaponry and their fearmongering, feast on our fear. But terror is as much a human emotion as love and compassion. Let the human spirit endure and the joys and universal brotherhood we share, prevail. Because, united we stand. As one family and one human race!
