Loko Natyadal attends Nepal festival

Loko Natyadal in Nepal
Loko Natyadal, one of the leading theatre groups in Bangladesh, recently attended a seven day- long Theatre Festival at Kathmandu. Nepal hosted the festival while Bangladesh and India were the other participants. ITI-Nepal Centre organised the festival.

Renowned theatre personalities Satya Mohan Joshi and Bekharatna Maharaja inaugurated the festival. Dr Avi Suvedi, President ITI Nepal Centre presided over the programme. Sunil Pokhrail, General Secretary ITI-Nepal Centre, gave the introductory speech, while Liyakat Ali Lucky spoke as a representative from Bangladesh. A group of 22 members of Loko Natyadal took part in the festival, says a press release.

The festival started with Buddhadeb Basu's play Tapassi O Tarangini performed by Loko Natyadal. Liyakat Ali Lucky directed the play.
