Mahadi Masud's ceramic creations are out on display at the Zainul Gallery, Institute of Fine Arts, till today.. Masud has experimented with the medium of ceramic and has come up with these petite formations. These creations reflect the feelings of Masud's inner self and also depict the little elements of the culture of the country as well as the nature of this universe.

These abstract creations include a wheel, with an irregular surface which seems to run on irregular country roads, rather than the big cities. Masud has also created little fireflies, butterflies and various other creatures of the air.

He has also experimented with different kinds of colour on these ceramic tit-bits. Amongst many more, his creations out for display includes teacups, mugs, water jugs, flower vases, penholders, candle stands and many other household objects. Masud's intricate designs on his abstract pieces, filled with colourful birds and flowers to soften the touch, undoubtedly keeps the spectators in awe of his creations.

Masud was born in 1975 in Bagerhat and earned his BFA degree from the Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University in 1997. Currently he is studying for his MFA at the same institution. He has had several exhibitions within the country and also abroad. Masud is also the winner of the Best Experimental Award for ceramic, held in an annual art exhibition at the Institute in 2002.
