Mamun's latest screen venture
As Mamun said, 'ATN Bangla has honoured me by providing a one-hour slot each week on Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30 to 10.30. In this slot only my programmes will be aired. Till now, in our country, I am the only one to get this opportunity.'
'My new mega serial Ek Janame, a social play, will also go in the same slot. Ek Janame is based on my novel Gunda Pandar Baba,' adds Mamun.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Mamun has already completed shooting seven episodes of the serial. These centre on a successful cultural activist named Rakib Chowdhury. However, the focus is on the problems he faces in society rather than his cultural activities.
Ferdausi Majumdar, Abdullah Al Mamun, Jamaluddin Hossain, Tarin, Jitu and others form the cast for the 60-episode Ek Janame.
The serial is one more feather in the cap of Mamun. Viewers are likely to welcome this social play.
