Mukti premieres on the inaugural show

The mother and her three daughters in the play Mukti

Through the story of a mother and her three daughters, the play Mukti satires the materialistic family structure of the metros. In the play, a homesick daughter returns to her mother who stays with her two other daughters--a virgin mother and a prodigal girl. By unveiling the psyche of these four characters, the playwright shows the loose bond between the family members in urban areas.

Ferdausi Mjumdar, Tanvin Sweety, Tamanna Islam and Tanjum Ara Polli perform in the play directed by Tropa Majumdar. Monsur Ahmed is the set designer while Nasirul Haque Khokon is the light designer of Mukti.

The premiere show of the play starts just after the inauguration ceremony of the festival at the Experimental Theatre Stage.
