To celebrate the Nabanno Festival,Jatiyo Nobanno Utshab Porshadhas organised a day-long special programme at the Bakul-tola of the Institute of Fine Arts today. Venerable poet Shamsur Rahman will inaugurate the programme at 8 am. An exhibition ofpitha(rice cakes) will be inaugurated at 9:30 am. A children's art competition will follow. A rally will be brought out from the venue at 10:30 am andShari Gaanwill be staged at 11 am. In the morning session of the cultural programme, celebrated artistes including Shahin Samad, Mohibuzzaman Moyna, Bulbul Islam, Bhaswar Bondyapadhyay, Laila Afroz and artistes of Udichi and Muktokantho will perform songs and poetry recitation. The afternoon session will begin at 3 pm withJari Gaan. Artistes of cultural organisations Spandan, Nrityalok and Nrityanandan will stage dances later.
