Nagarik Natyangan Ensemble celebrates 10th year
Nagarik Natyangan Ensemble has arranged a two-day long programme to observe its 10th founding year. The programme starts from December 30. On that day, members of the group will gather at the Experimental Theatre Stage at Shilpakala Academy. The highlight is a cultural event, followed by their latest playAami Noi.
On the following day, on December 31 the theatrical group has arranged a daylong programme at Mahila Samity Stage, including the gathering of theatre activists cultural events and staging of play-- Chand Baniker Pala, a popular production of Nagorik Natyangan Ensemble.
Jamaluddin Hossain, the chief of the group said, 'Nagarik Natyangan Ensemble was formed in January 1, 1995. So far we have staged nine productions. In the two-day long festival we are staging our latest production and our most popular production. We have also opened a branch for the children named Nagarik Children Ensemble Theatre. Next year, we will stage our new production.'
