The 11th founding anniversary of theatre troupe, Nagorik Natyangan Ensemble was observed recently at Mahila Samity Auditorium, according to a press release. Renowned playwright, actor and director, Professor Momtazuddin Ahmed was the chief guest at the occasion. Eminent theatre personalities Ataur Rahman, Nasiuddin Yusuff, Keramat Mawla, M Hamid, SM Mohsin, Gulam Quddus, Liaquat Ali Lucky, Rokeya Rafique Baby and others were also present at the event.

The guests and the general secretary of Nagorik Natyangan Ensemble, Jamaluddin Hussain, spoke at the programme.

Staging of Mricchokotik, a Sanskrit classic originally written by Shudrok, translated by Mohit Chattyapadhyay and directed by Jamaluddin Hussain, followed the discussions.
