Nagorik Natya Sampradaya presents Raktokarobi
Nagorik Natya Sampradaya will stageRaktokarobiby Rabindranah Tagore at the Mahila Samity Mancha at 7:00 p.m. The play centers around a materialistic world, called 'Jaggapuri' (sacrificial ground) where there is only wealth and no touch of humanity. The leviathan king of that place, according to mythology is Makar Raj, but the playwright calls him Kuber. In the play we find a conflict between the spirit of life and materialism. Ataur Rahman is the director of the play. Md. Saidul Islam is the set designer while Nasirul Haque is the light designer.
Siddhidata by Loko Natyadal
Siddhidata by Mohit Chattopadhyay will be staged at the National Theatre Stage at 7:00p.m. It is a Loko Natyadal production. In the play we get the story of a hypocritical Guru who is not a 'brahmin' but deceives his disciples in many ways. Through the comedy the playwright points out some of the facts of life. The dramatist in the play, has used many mythological allusions. Liakat Ali Lucky is the director of the play. Ali Ahmed Mukul is the set designer while Thandu Raihan is the light designer.
