Nagorik Natyangan Drama Festival 2005

On the Nagorik Natyangan drama festival 2005, convenor Selim says, "Whenever, we arrange any drama festival we honour some theatre personalities for their contribution to our theatre. This year, we honoured eight personalities. We always arrange a seminar on theatre for the benefit of theatre activists. The topic of this year's seminar is 'Translation of drama' which will be presented by Abdus Selim."

"In fact, besides plays by our playwrights, translated and adapted plays of foreign drama have been staged regularly in Bangladesh. We think, the seminar will help those involved in translating or adapting foreign plays" he adds.

Selim feels proud of arranging a drama festival at the newly opened National Theatre Stage. He thinks that the new venue of this festival will attract the audience.
