Naptali: Varsity Theatre's 20th production

Recently, Varsity Theatre staged their brand new comedy production at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Written by Professor Zakir Hossain and directed by Arju Khan, the drama Naptali is a tale of the barber community and their attempt to keep pace with society by changing their profession. The story depicts a barber Ramshil, who, in search of a better life, wants to leave his family profession. Towards this end, he chooses the route of sycophancy as barbering is his only skill. Although the drama is a comedy, it has a tragic end.
