Paying tribute to the Rebel Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam should not be confined to only his birth and death anniversary celebrations; the true essence of his works should permeate to the masses. This was the consensus of the artistes of the Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad on the last day of the three-day long celebration of Nazrul songs at National Museum. The artistes committed themselves to promoting their counterparts from the rural areas of the country. They also said that they would go to different places to promote the poet's works.Abdullah Al Noman, Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony while AMM Nasiruddin, Telecommunication Secretary was the special guest of the programme. Ferdousi Rahman and Rebeka Sultana President and Vice President of Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad respectively, also spoke on the occasion.
