Neel Cactus: A TV play on acid victims

The play revolves around Shameem, his sister Shanu and their father, Mr Rahman. A relative of Mr Rahman, Nayan comes to the city for higher education and a job. Nayan stays with Mr Rahman and his family. The neighbourhood goons often harass Shanu. The presence of Nayan at the Rahman household only aggravates the miscreants. Shameem decides to confront the local goons and gets killed.

Fearing for his own life, Nayan moves back to the village. Though the miscreants are arrested, they come out of the jail without a scratch, thanks to their godfather. The vengeful criminals throw acid on Shanu. Dr Enamul Haq, Litu Anam, Hridi Haq and Jashim Abedin have donned the major roles in the moving play.
