The story line:
Zamindar Ramendra Narayan Roy is popular among his subjects for his empathy, kindness and valor. But a few of his close ones hatch a nefarious plan eventually. The zamindar is shocked to discover his wife being a part of the plan and sees no way out. He disappears one day.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. However, once everyone assumes him as 'deceased', Ramendra emerges as a saint. The serial traces the early days of Ramendra.
The 26-episode TV serial is written and directed by M Shakhawat Hossain. Jayanto Chattyo-padhyay plays the title character in the serial. Other major cast-members include Moushumi,Manosh Bandyopad-hyay, Shomu Choudhury and Khairul Alam Shobuj.
Rtv will telecast the serial from April.
