New theatre on the block
The two words of the title depict two plays, Bhut and Shikar. Both the plays reflect the impressions about our society to the children--the children's rights, child-oppression, even a dissecting look at the existing political unrest of the country.
Bhut depicts a human character accidentally finding himself in the world of Bhuts (ghosts). Later a Bhut is also sent to see if man is the best creature at all. The ghost, however, finds many anomalies amidst the human society, and he brings back to his own country the saddening stories of the children on earth.
Shikar, on the other hand, shows very effectively how man has been executing the politics of division. A 'shikar' (a prey) is seen to be divided by the continually elected leaders only among themselves depriving the common people of their share of it.
Written and directed by Razanur Rahman, the plays surely delighted the audience by the possibility of the budding talent in the children performers.
