In addition a seven-day long Baishakhi Mela was inaugurated by Women and Children Welfare Minister Begum Khurshid Jahan Haque at Dinajpur Academy School. Around 70 stalls were put up at the fair. The Baishakhi Celebration Committee arranged a seven-day long cultural programme with the participation of cultural organisations.
