Notes for the New Year

I wish everybody a very happy New Year. I don't generally go to fairs to celebrate Pahela Baishakh. Firstly, I'll visit my parents and in the evening I will perform at a government programme. Although I don't visit fairs, I very much enjoy watching people celebrating the day. This is a celebration absolutely free from any extravagant and obscene activities. I enjoy this spontaneous innocent celebration.

This year I hope to celebrate the Pahela Baishakh at Nuhash Polli where I am presently shooting for Humayun Ahmed's film Shyamal Chhaya.

I'm not sure which one of my plans will fructify as I have many plans! I have a few invitations both in Dhaka and outside. I might even go to Chittagong or to Lalon's Akhra in Kushtia. Wherever I spend the day, I'll do it in the company of my kids.
