A dramatic moment in Mangula

The Hajong community, living beside the river Sumeshwari in Netrokona, has a long history of struggle for existence and securing rights. They have sacrificed innumerable lives in the struggle against feudal lords and the British rulers. Under Moni Singh's leadership, Beo (weaving), the only means of their livelihood, becomes the most important instrument of their resistance.

Even in these dire straits, the Hajong continue their struggle.

Shamim Sagor, Selim Haider, Iktarul Islam, Mukul, Ajoy Das, Shahnaz Parvin and Pankaj Waddader are the major cast members of the play.
