To celebrate Independence Day, ntv will air a dramaPechhone Tokhonby Ijaj Ahmed on March 26, at 8:50 pm. Popular actor Jahiruddin Piar appears for the first time as a director of the play. The play is set against the backdrop of the genocide that took place on the night of March 25, 1971.

Story line: The drama centres around a middle class family. The elder son of the family is a government official while the younger son is a student. The elder son thinks that if he informs the Pakistan army about his younger brother's association with the freedom fighters, they might help him communicate with his parents, living in West Pakistan.

Moreover, his younger brother, being threatened by the army, might disassociate himself from the freedom fighters. But in reality it turns out to be just the opposite. The brutal army kills his brother and rapes his younger sister.

Starring: Jahiruddin Piar, Shamsuzzaman Khan Benu, Murad, Swity and others.
