'I'm about to unleash some serious energy,' Lewis told The Associated Press as she descended into the cafe via the massive stairway entrance, just steps away from the bells and whistles of the casino's slots.

The actresses and their newborn rock ensembles performed--Jada first, Juliette second--for hundreds of invitees and a handful of Hollywood celebs.

Before wailing into the microphone and shaking her long locks onstage, Pinkett Smith christened the new Hard Rock location by smashing a guitar on the red carpet. It took three thrusts to obliterate the instrument.

Lewis made her presence known when she jumped on the Hard Rock stage clad in a purple getup more suitable for Catwoman. Throughout the punk-rock set, Lewis' intensely physically performance seemed to channel the likes of her musical inspirations Iggy Pop and Grace Jones.
