Pop of Colour ltd awards 10 extraordinary women

Pop of Colour (POC), a community for women, has awarded 10 successful women on March 8, the annual International Women's Day. Tinker Jannat Meem, the founder of POC, presented the awards during a ceremony styled "Raising Awareness Against Bias" held at Dhaka's Six Season hotel. The awardees included nutritionist Samia Tasnim, makeover artist Sabiha Sabrin, Dr. Nafi Islam, Dr. Mashiat Masud Momo, and entrepreneurs Mithila Islam, Rehnuma Brishti, Tonima Rahman, Tanzina Akhter, and Samira Chowdhury.

We always hear the stories of very successful people. But there are many of those who face and overcome extraordinary barriers in their regular lives as well, and that too without much support. I want people to know their stories. I want to motivate them, so we picked 10 women just like that, POC founder Meem said. 

Pop of Colour Ltd is a registered female community. The main motive of this organization, established in 2014, is to help women be self-reliant, mentally and economically. They offer free services, and have helped more than 15,000 women to be self-reliant in the past few years. They provide product source, promotional and marketing strategy, as well as guidelines at no cost to the user. POC has about 1,44000 members through their Facebook and Instagram pages.
