Popularising Bangladeshi dance and music in the US

An audience packed Katzin Concert Hall testified to the popularity of the programme titled Bangladesher Hridoy Hotey. Tagore singers like Lopa Ahmed, Tapan Majumder, Ashit Kumar Dey, Amit Dey, Abdus Sattar and Subrata Roy of Jatiyo Rabindra Sangeet Shammilon Parishad, Dhaka, performed in the programme.

During the five-week tour, Sharmila and her troupe also performed at programmes held in New Jersey and New York.
