A sneak preview of the drama serial was held at the Ballroom, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on August 29. The Chief Guest at the event was US Embassy Charge d' Affaires, Judith Chammas and Guest of Honour was the USAID acting Mission Director, Beth Paige. Dr Robert J Timmons, chief of party, NSDP also attended the event.

In his speech Dr Timmons said, "NSDP seeks to improve the standard of healthcare for millions in this country. In association with USAID and the Bangladesh Government, NSDP intends to make basic healthcare affordable to even the poorest, living in the rural areas as well as the urban slums. The drama serial is an effort to promote healthcare in general. However, it focuses on child, maternal and reproductive healthcare."

Judith Chammas said, "Improving healthcare for the masses is the key to improving the infrastructure of a country's workforce. Hopefully through the drama serial, more people would be interested to benefit from the services provided by the 'Smiling Sun' healthcare facilities."

After the speeches, a preview of Enechhi Shurjer Hashi was screened. The serial revolves around an aged well-to-do farmer, Abdul Majid and his five offspring from two marriages. The elder son and daughter scheme to take over Majid's property. The other two sons and the youngest daughter are quite different though. Another major character in the serial is Ayesha, a paramedic working at a local 'Smiling Sun' clinic. The serial deals with the issues the characters are confronted with and several of the issues are related to child and maternal healthcare."

The 26-episode drama serial features popular actors ATM Shamsuzzaman, Humayun Faridee, Rosy Arefin, Joya Ahsan and Sweety and it will be aired on BTV on Spetember 26.
