Do you think you are too young to be a heroine?
Maturity is something related to performance and appearance, not age. And I think I look quite mature on screen. Although I am a teenager, I am not really too young to be a heroine in dramas.

What are you scared of?
From my very childhood I have been scared of cockroaches. It is pretty unusual for me because I am scared of very few things.

What are your recent works?
I am currently working in a number of dramas and commercials. Shooting of 69, a drama serial directed by Mustafa Sarwar Faruqui, is going on and a drama titled Parapar Store by the same director will be on air soon. I am also working with Afzal Hossain in an yet to be titled drama. And of course, I am working for the ads of Keya products as the brand model.

Did any of your dreams come true?
The model I appreciate most is Sadya Islam Mou. From my very childhood I used to watch her expressions and get ups in her ads with great admiration. She was the brand model of Keya products. So, when I got the offer to step into her shoes, I cannot say how overwhelmed I felt at that time. It was really like a dream-come-true.

What is your dream role?
As a beginner, I did not act in many dramas but I like to work in good productions. I read Rabindranath and am very eager to act in any plays based on his works.

What is your favourite pastime?
I get very little leisure time. But if I do, I like to spend it with my family. Besides, I love to watch the wildlife programmes on Discovery Channel. I even do pottery in my leisure time. I did not learn it in any institution but I used to learn painting during my childhood.

What do you think about the present trend of using foreign models?
Some ad-makers have a tendency to employ foreign models, which is not appreciable, as it is harmful for our models. The models should have minimum restrictions in acting in foreign ads.

How do you feel about appreciation from viewers?
I feel really honoured when the elders praise me or give suggestions on my acting. I try to follow their suggestions.

What are your future plans?
I will think about future plans in future. All I know is I must complete my studies first. I hope to work in selected plays and commercials simultaneously.

What are the qualities of a good model?
Firstly, she must have talent. She has to identify with the character. In commercials she must have good expressions as well. Human qualities are very important for an actress.

Breakthrough performance
The commercial of Coca Cola, where one of my dialogues became a household hit, was my breakthrough performance. The commercials of Citycell and Keya were hits as well.

Amusing experience
During the shooting of the commercial of Keya lip gel, we had to work in two capsule elevators where Nobel was told to go up in one and I was suppose to go down by another. And the shot demanded a scene where we needed an eye contact. But the shot was taking too long to be perfect because the two elevators were not aligned. That's why I had to get in the elevator about 50 times. It was a very tiring and at the same time a memorable experience for me.
