How did you get involved with the media?

I have been dancing since I was child. I appeared on the TV medium for the first time, through Humayun Ahmed's TV drama Kothao Keu Nei

What do you fear most?

I am afraid of darkness. Besides this, I fear hypocrites.

How would you describe yourself?

I am very transparent; I get angry very easily and I cool down even more easily. However, I take life very easily.

What do you strive to be?

I want to be a good and an honest person.

Any regrets?

No. Not at all. I do not have any major regrets.

How will you judge the 'talent' of a media person? Is it his quality or his appearance or does he need to have back-ups?

The quality of an artiste should be the first priority. Other things are necessary as well.

If some day, you do not have any more demand in the media, what will you do?

This has a lot to do with one's mental heights. If I do not have any more value in the media, then I should be able to sense that. I think people age naturally and every age has its own beauty. However, if I see that I do not have any demand in my personal life, then I would obviously wish for my death.

What is your dream in life?

To live in good health and in peace.

Tell us about an interesting encounter with a fan.

Around seven to eight years ago, I used to receive blank calls, and the person used to send me flowers, cards, books and various gifts. So, one-day, I asked that person to meet me. The person came to my house. She was much younger than me. She was crying and could not speak to me. That was a very strange experience.

What would you have been, if not an actress?

I would have worked behind the screen.
