Every photograph is accompanied with a brief description of people, time and place and gives easy reading to the readers.

Justice Habibur Rahman said in his speech that the publication ceremony of Rare Photographs of Eastern Bengal marked a very special day in our endeavour to discover our heritage, which will remain a source of inspiration for years to come. He further said that a book like this would never grow old and we would come back to it again and again to find new things every time.

Dr. Anisuzzaman said that the book was a superb collection of historical images made possible by hard work by Waqar Khan. He added that the introduction of the book gives a lucid background of how photography has developed in the sub-continent.

David Flectcher, Chief Executive officer, Bangladesh of Standard Chartered Bank said that the book was actually meant to look at the future, not at the past. He said that the future generations would immensely benefit from this book, each page of which is a potent slice of history.

Waqar A Khan gave a presentation of the book to the audience and explained each photograph in the book. He said that it took him 5 years to collect and reconstruct the photographs, which he is pleased to present as a piece of history.
