Remembering the National Poet

Ntv will telecast special shows dedicated to the poet, titled Ganer Mala, Chakrobak, Harano Hia, Akashe Aj Chharie Dilem and others.

Ganer Mala: Participated by Sadya Afreen Mallick, Yakub Ali Khan, Rebecca Sultana, Sifaat-e-Manzur and MA Mannan, this musical show will be telecast at 8:30 am.

Chakrobak: Khalid Husain, Rowshan Ara Mustafiz and Shahin Samad will present Nazrul Sangeet while Bhashwar Bondyapadhyay will recite from Nazrul's poetry. The programme will be aired at 9:00 am.

Harano Hia: Scheduled to be telecast at 9:30 am this musical show will be participated by Fatema Tuz Zohra, Khairul Anam Shakil, Yasmin Mushtary, Yakub Ali Khan and Ferdous Ara.

Hridoy Gagan: A special dance programme directed by Kafi Bir will be telecast at 3:15 pm featuring popular artiste Sadia Islam Mou.

Akashe Aj Chhoriye Dilam: Veteran Nazrul singer Firoza Begum will render popular Nazrul songs at 6:50 pm. Produced by Maksud Jamil Mintu, Khalid Husain, Shahin Samad, Fatema Tuz Zohra and Khairul Anam Shakil will perform songs.

Shapla Kuri: A special episode of childrens programme Shapla Kuri, will be telecast at 2:35 pm. Directed by Shajal Amin, artistes will perform songs, dance, poems and short dramas dedicated to Nazrul.

Jhilimili: Written by Kazi Nazrul Islam, a special drama will be on air at 8:50 pm. Directed by Abul Hayat, the artistes of the drama are Ahmed Rubel, Bipasha Hayat, Amirul Haque Chowdhury, Sharmili Ahmed and Abul Hayat. The story is about an unrealised affair of Firoza and Habib.

Chokher Jaler Priya: Depicting the romantic life of Kazi Nazrul Islam the drama is directed by Taher Shipon and will be aired at 7:50 pm. Subarna Kazi, Tania Ahmed and Pijush Bondyapadhaya play the lead roles.

Kon Birohi Kade: A solo musical show by Shabnam Mushtary will be telecast on 9:35 pm. The programme has been directed by Amirul Islam.

Tomare Debo Na Bhulitey: Directed by Amirul Islam, a solo recital by the eminent Nazrul artiste Sohrab Hossain will be telecast at 6:45 pm.

Citycell Nazrulio Adda: With instant participation of the audience through telephone, this programme will be hosted by Asad Chowdhury. Abdul Mannan Syed will take part in the discussion while Khairul Anam Shakil and Ferdous Ara will perform songs.

A special musical programme titled Manobotar Kobi Nazrul, directed by Qamrunnessa Hasan will be telecast on 26th August at 10:30 pm. Hosted by the legendary Firoza Begum artistes from three generations including Firoza Begum, Sadya Afreen Mallick and Sharmin Islam Shathi will render songs of Nazrul. Mansur Musa will present an informative item on Nazrul.
