Revival of centuries old Bangla songs
Panchoshor, a newly formed cultural organisation, with the objective of working with different forms of arts like--film, music, recitation, drama and dance, organised a musical programme titled Shukhin Nishidin Poradhin to mark its emergence at the German Cultural Centre on October 17, says a press release.
Artistes Sumon Chowdhury, Nasima Shaheen, Farhana Akhter, Sumon Majumdar, Jannat-e-Ferdousy and Mamun Zahid Khan rendered songs at the programme, all of which belong to 'Bangla Nagorik Gaan'--a thematic concept of Bangla songs from the early 19th century till the middle of 20th century.
