Schwarzenegger a Maverick

Maverick Spirit events have honored many of the world's most accomplished directors, producers, actors, cinematographers, editors and composers. Organisers say Schwarzenegger's life epitomizes the concept of Maverick over a spectrum of career and human endeavors.

"In bodybuilding, acting or politics, Schwarzenegger has surmounted incredible odds with his energy and charismatic personality driving him to unprecedented success. It is difficult enough to succeed in one major career; Schwarzenegger is swiftly on his way to proving himself in his third," according to a Cinequest statement.

In addition to the festival, Cinequest also produces and operates Cinequest Motion Picture Studio, Youthquest, Cinequest Screenwriting Competition and the Cinequest Membership Program.
