Sculptor Rasha's solo exhibition

Titled Kishorer Chokhey Muktijuddho, the exhibition features paintings that according to Rasha are, "inspired by memories of the Liberation War." The artist, well known as a sculptor, says, "To bring to life my memories and experiences as a youngster during the war in '71, I started working on these paintings."

The paintings resemble art done by an amateur, they have a certain raw, childlike approach to them. However, some images are graphic; which indicate the impressions and thoughts of an adult. According to Rasha, he had been working on the paintings for last five years. Two woodcuts by the artist, titled Bastobota and Gorbito Barnomala are also on display at the exhibition.
