Tyrannosaurus Rex, commonly known as T-Rex, being one of the biggest and fiercest members of the prehistoric Dinosaur family, soon comes as a title character in a 13-episode television serial for the fantasy-loving children of our country. Khalid Mahmud Mithu, a TV producer soon completes his work of the dramatization of a plot based on the novel, 'T-Rex-er shondhaney', written by renowned children novelist Mohammad Zafar Iqbal.

The entire production unit is currently stationed at a rocky, undulating scenic spot in the district of Rangamati where a major portion of the drama is being shot. According to sources, over eighty per cent of the production's work is complete.

As the producer feels, the making of a children's drama is a much tougher job, in fact, quite tricky and exigent than that of a drama meant for viewers, irrespective of age and attitude. 'I took interest to work in the drama mainly for two reasons', says Bappa Raaj, a noted film star of the country. 'Firstly, a strong sense of duty and responsibility towards the children appeared before my mind while, in addition, I simply failed to return Mithu Bhai empty-handed after he approached me to be one of the lead characters of his latest production, one I am greatly enjoying to be associated with'. Bappa hopes that the TV drama would certainly be a great source of joy and excitement for the adventure-loving younger community of our country, members of which are seldom provided with substance of pure, educational entertainment. Shanta Islam, Shirin Bakul, Abul Hayat, Saleh Ahmed, Abdul Quader,Shamim Haider, Shomu Chowdhury, Arif Aakash are some of the important casts of the drama besides Arya Shrestha, Utsha, Ojee, Manu and Aakash.
