Seminar on Shilpacharya

Indian artist Ganesh Halui delivering a speech on the occasion

The inauguration ceremony of the seminar had famous Indian artist Ganesh Halui and Pakistani art critic Jalal Uddin Ahmed and Professor Masuda Rashid Chowdhury. Presided over by art critic Sayeed Ahmed, the inauguration was also attended by Shilpacharya's wife Begum Jahanara Abedin, Director General of National Museum Professor Mahmudul Haque, Chairman of Bengal Foundation Abul Khair and Secretary of Shilpakala Academy M Khurshid Alam.

Professor Abul Mansoor presented a paper on Zainul Abedin at the first session of the event. Renowned art critics Syed Manzurul Islam, Parvin Hasan, Abdul Matin Sarkar and artists Shishir Bhattacharjee, Syed Lutful Haque and Professor Azizul Haque discussed on the paper.

The second session featured reminiscences of Pakistani art critic Jalal Uddin Ahmed, Sadek Khan, artist Aminul Islam, Qayyum Chowdhury, Abdur Razzaque, Murtaza Bashir and Hashem Khan. Professor Anisuzzaman presided over the session.
