Sesame Street turns to Sisimpur

The series for children is co-produced by the non-profit educational organisation Sesame Workshop, says a press release. Sisimpur is a Bangladeshi adaptation of the world famous television series Sesame Street and features Bangla-speaking Muppets, animation and live-action segments. The series is funded under a grant of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is expected to debut on BTV later this year. Sesame Workshop has co-produced similar programmes in over 20 countries in the world over the last 35 years.
