Seven day theatre festival in Chittagong

Ahmed Iqbal Haidar, the director of TIC said, "To welcome each season, we have been arranging theatre festivals at the theatre laboratory for over 12 years. Currently we are celebrating the season Sharot (autumn). Chittagong- based troupes will stage world classics including Tagore's two plays, Shasti and Achalayotan. Moreover, Michael Madhushudan Dutta's Buro Shaliker Ghare Ro, Sophocles's Antigone and Leo Tolstoy's Fruits of Culture. Binodini is the autobiography of legendary theatre artiste Binodini Dasi."

"In addition to the plays, we are arranging a council of theatre activists of Chittagong. The activists will discuss various topics to promote theatre activities in Chittagong," added Haidar.
