Seven days Thai Food Festival opened at Le Méridien Dhaka
Considering the large interest in Thai food, Le Méridien Dhaka – a five-star hotel in Bangladesh has arranged a seven-day food festival from 28 February – 6 March 2023. H E Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, inaugurated the first day of the Thai Food Festival at Latest Recipe, the buffet restaurant of Le Méridien Dhaka. Thai food is one of the world's most popular cuisines for its unique and distinct flavors. People around the world are fond of this cuisine for its four pillars — salty, spicy, sweet, and sour to make up the dishes tasty.
To stimulate the beautiful culture, heritage, and food, hotel Le Méridien Dhaka is also organizing Thai Cultural activities to offer an experience of true Thailand in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy Dhaka.
Thai MasterChef Suriya Phusirimongkhoncha from Chumphon, Thailand, will host the event to introduce the authentic taste of multi-cuisines and the rich food heritage of the country. Chef Suriya has more than 24 years of experience in culinary adventure, and he explored the world to promote Thai food. His popular dishes are Phadthai Kong, Kai Yang, Pla Nung Manow, Yam Som O, Thub Tim Krub, and many more.
H E Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, said, "The Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka is very pleased to work with Le Méridien Dhaka to present the authentic taste and culture of Thailand in Bangladesh. Thai food is very trendy, and I hope this Food Festival will be a culinary retreat for the visitors."
Constantinos S Gavriel, General Manager of Le Méridien Dhaka, welcomed the guests on the first day of the Thai Food Festival. The event was graced with the presence of Gaus Uddin Khan President (Acting) and M Salem Sulaiman, Director of Finance from Bangladesh Thai Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Thai culture and mouth-watering foods will be showcased at Thai Food Festival which will bring variety in the buffet dinner arrangements of the Latest Recipe at Le Méridien Dhaka.
