Seventh Bangladesh Film Festival to be held in London
To celebrate 50 years of our cinema, Rainbow Film Society is organising the seventh Bangladesh Film Festival in London, beginning from June 4, 2006, says a press release. The festival will take place at the Genesis movie theatre in East London. A press conference was held at Sheraton Hotel yesterday afternoon to inform the media about the festival.
Rainbow Film Society has been holding film festivals overseas for the last few years as a part of an effort to popularise Bangladeshi cinema in the outer world as well as keeping the Bangladeshi expatriates updated with our films. Last year, from May 15-25, Rainbow Film Society held the sixth Bangladesh Film Festival at Genesis movie theatre as well.
