The play revolves around a wealthy businessman Asif Chowdhury who loses his sight in an accident. Life seems like an endless dark night to Asif. His younger brother Arif looks after him. Arif's friend Shaon starts spending time reading to Asif. While listening to Shaon reading Dostoevsky's White Night, Asif starts feeling he is a man of 'white nights'. To him 'white nights' are the brief moments of happiness he experienced prior to losing his sight.

Near and dear ones fear Asif's temper and they don't share the household problems with him. Shaon starts spending more time with Asif. Asif's wife Neela and their daughter Tuli return home after seven years. Asif's senes a change not only in his life but in that of the family as well.

Mashiul Alam has penned the story. Deepankar Deepan has written the scripts and directed the play. Incidentally this is Deepankar's debut drama serial. Actors Tarek Anam Khan, Subarna Mustafa, Arman Parvez Murad and Tazin play the central characters.

According to the director, "The physically challenged are not always dependent on others. The character in the play, Asif amply demonstrates this truth. The character is extremely powerful and dominating. He seems to overcome his disability through solving the problems his family encounters. Yet, he feels one thing is missing -- the companionship of a special someone. I've tried to depict this complex theme through the play."
