Shahrukh 'king of hearts' in Bali
"I have seen almost all his films. He is so appealing," gushed a young girl found shopping for Hindi film CDs at a shop in Bali. "He is very handsome," said the housekeeper at the Melia Bali Hotel, who claims to have seen KKHH four times.
In fact, the film ran to 'full houses' for several months in cinema theatres in this country. Hindi films and songs are very popular among the locals, where 95 per cent of them are Hindus.
The huge popularity of Hindi films can be gauged by the fact that television networks provide a stable diet of Indian cinema with at least three Hindi films shown on television channels everyday, with sub titles in the national language, Bahasa.
