Songs to pacify grief

Patriotic songs by Subir Nandi, Shaheen Samad, Shimul Yousuf and Fakir Alamgir will be telecast on ntv, on 21st February
A few days ago in the middle of the night the Central Shaheed Minar premises was filled with striking tunes performed by some eminent artistes. The whole programme was planned by Shahiduzzaman Selim and directed by Esha Yousuf and was shot for broadcasting on ntv, February 21 at 6:20pm.Dukkho Joy-er Gaanas the programme was titled, is a production of Dream Factory Ltd.

Amar bhai-er hashi makha mukh by Subir Nandi marked the beginning. Then came Shaheen Samad with the song Rakto shimul tapta palash , Fakir Alamgir with Daam die kinechi Bangla and Shimul Yousuf with Rashtrabhasha andolon. The night was abuzz with these wonderful compositions. These were the invaluable songs of pre- liberation times giving us the moral strength during moments of tests and tribulations.

Three Betacams were used to shoot the programme and the whole premises were lit up gorgeously to create a realistic and lively effect. Amaar bhai-er rokte rangano ekushey February was the last presentation.
