Special musical programmes on TV for Saarc

ATN Bangla aired a special musical programme titled, Mora Jatri Aki Toronir last night. The programme featured Bangladeshi artistes performing songs in the national languages of the Saarc countries. Subir Nandi, Nashid Kamal, Milia Islam Sabed, Alam Ara Minu, Rebecca Sultana, Rafiqul Alam and Abida Sultana performed Bangla, Urdu, Sinhala (Sri Lanka), Hindi, Nepalese, Dhivehi (Maldives) and Dzonkha (Bhutan) songs respectively.

BTV has put together a similar musical programme, titled Saarc Sangeet Rajani Shaptorshi, which has been telecast last night and will be repeated tonight at 10:30pm. The programme features renowned artistes Shahnaz Rahmatullah, Shaheen Samad, Alam Ara Minu, Milia Islam Sabed, Rafiqul Alam, Rebecca Sultana and Abida Sultana singing Bangla, Urdu, Hindi, Sinhala, Dhivehi, Nepalese and Dzonkha songs respectively.
