Special programmes on Tagore's 145th birth anniversary

Rabir Rangtuli: The programme at 9:25 am highlights paintings, calligraphy and sketches by Tagore. Dr Abdus Sattar talks about Tagore's unique style, backgrounds of the artworks and mediums used.

Tabo Parash Madhury: Noted artistes Rezwana Chowdhury Banya, Sadi Muhammad, Papiya Sarwar and Swapan Dutta render Tagore songs in the special musical programme at 11:15 am.

Shampotti Shamorpan: The tele-film, directed by Ananto Hira will be aired at 2:40 pm. Jayanto Chattyopadhyay, Jyotika, Joy play the central characters.

Drishyakabyo: The programme to be aired at 5:45 pm, features visualisation of Tagore's poems. Bhashwar Bandyopadhyay and Nahid Parveen have recited the poems.

Rabindranath-ke Nibedito Swarachito Kabita: Hosted by poet Rafique Azad, the programme features poetry on Tagore by noted poets of the country. The programme will be aired at 11:05 am.

Rabindranath: Documentary on Tagore directed by Satyajit Ray. The film will be aired at 2:40 pm.

Ekratri: Special play based on a story by Tagore and directed by Amjad Hossain. Sujata, Jitu Ahsan and Kusum Sikdar play the lead roles in the play to be aired at 7:50 pm.

Maloncha: Written and directed by Abu Sayeed, the play is based on Tagore's novel. The play will be aired at 9:00 pm.

Through the story of Aditya-Niroja family, Maloncha features the saga of a typical elite Bangalee family. Azizul Hakim, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Tania Ahmed, Tanvin Sweety and others perform in the play.

Swakonthe Rabindranath: A magazine programme, titled Swakonthe Rabindranath features the songs and poems of Rabindranath Tagore. Aupi Karim is the host of the programme. Directed by Alfred Khokon, Swakonthe Rabindranath will be aired at 6:45 pm.

Chhotoder Rabindranath: The programme to be aired at 10:30 am features different aspects of children's literature by Tagore.

Chalachchitrey Rabindranath: Filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel and Tagore exponent Mahbub Jamil participate in the discussion on films based on Tagore's literary works. The programme, to be aired at 6:40 pm also features clips from films and discussion on Tagore songs.

Baishakhi
Prothom Shubho Khon: To be aired at 9:00 pm, the special programme includes six Rabindra sangeet duets sung by popular artistes.

Jogajog: A discussion programme on letters written by Tagore, anchored by M Rafiquzzaman. The programme will be aired at 9:30 pm.

Baishakhi will also air the day-long musical programme organised by Rabindra-sangeet Shilpi Sangstha, live from Shishu Academy Auditorium starting from 9.00 am.

Nana Ranger Sur: The spotlight will be on Tagore's novels, poems, short stories and songs, which display a western influence. The works will be analysed in the programme to be aired at 11:00 pm.
